Job Description
Overview:
The Field Coordinator will oversee the implementation of field activities for ACDEO project in Balkh province. The role involves managing field operations, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring that project objectives are achieved efficiently and effectively.in addition The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing community related activities, provide workshops, arrange meetings with the community for orientation of the program, identifying and solving field challenges pertaining Project implementation between the communities, conducting surveys, do outreach, Facilitate Distribution process, Organizing awareness sessions,
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee field activities to ensure they align with project goals and timelines.
- Supervise field staff and provide guidance to ensure effective performance and adherence to project plans.
- Ensure that all field activities comply with organizational policies, donor requirements, and relevant regulations.
- Establish and maintain relationships with local authorities, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among project partners, beneficiaries, and other relevant parties.
- Represent the organization in meetings, forums, and other events related to the project.
- Monitor the progress of field activities and ensure they meet project objectives and quality standards.
- Collect, compile, and analyze data on field activities for reporting purposes.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on field operations, including progress, challenges, and recommendations.
- Manage resources, including staff, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient field operations.
- Monitor budget expenditures and ensure that field activities are cost-effective.
- Ensure the proper maintenance and security of project assets in the field.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working environment within the field team.
- Identify potential risks related to field operations and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure that safety and security protocols are followed by all field staff.
- Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during field activities.
- Engage with communities to build trust and support for project activities.
- Ensure that community feedback is integrated into project planning and implementation.
- Facilitate the survey process and pave the ways for its successful completion.
- Assist the project manager in developing material and its translations in to the local languages.
- Act as a focal point between ACDEO Head office and Field Office in Mazar.
- Liaise with Gov stakeholders for having community acceptance and getting permission for the implementation of the project at the target area.
Job Requirement
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Development Studies, Project Management, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in field coordination or project management.
- Proven experience in program, social activities, Community Engagement, Awareness, Survey and Distributions process.
- Experienced in working with the community, influential character between the community and understanding the cultural issues of Afghan community.
- Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible world view, emotional maturity and physical stamina.
- The applicant is expected to be familiar with area of operation and should spend the majority of their time in the field.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to remote field sites and work in challenging environments.
- Proficiency in Dari, Pashto and English languages is an asset.
