PACo priority objectives includes empowerment of people through community organization and capacity development, promoting rights of women and children, ensuring livelihood options to end hunger and food insecurity and respond to calamities and conflicts through humanitarian assistance. PACo planned to initiate the Additional financing for Afghanistan Emergency food security emergency Project in Kabul 9 districts of Kabul .Thus, PACo, planned to recruit horticulturist considering the conditions and requirement state in this announcement. Job Description
- Develop and prepare Training plan and training material, work plan in coordination with project Coordinator.
- Facilitated and organized FFS and field day for target beneficiary on saffron , Hing , wheat seed cultivation, watering, past control and harvesting.
- Attend the training, workshop and meeting related to agronomic aspect of project.
- Organize Training for project staff and target beneficiary-based project plan
- Develop and proactively facilitate the implementation of the training plan and delivery.
- Ensure appropriate coordination with management team and Agriculture /livestock services in districts levels.
- Coordinate the Training plan, technical and practical aspect before delivery with project field staff/ social organization in order that they share with beneficiaries, CDC, DDA and with extension service in the district level
- Prepare and develop training, FFS or field day reports from each target group at the end of each training/event and includes photos, pre and post training evaluation , attendance record and distribution list of input distribution if any.
- Facilitate the training in local language, practically and in participatory manner
- Perform any other task assigned by project line manager/management
Job Requirement
- Graduate, degree On agriculture with preference on horticulture from recognized University, with solid working experience
- At least 4 years’ experience in same field and subject preferably with NGOs.
- Should have adequate research, training delivery, FFS/field day, and working experience with communities and extension services.
- Must be abled to fluently speak, read and write in Pushto , Dari and English languages
- Willing to commit to the vision and mission of PACo.
- Prepared to work hard and long when needed to achieve deadlines, targets and quality standards set by the project.
- Committed to be accountable and transparent to community, line management and as whole to organization.
- Should have good computer operating skill
- Good interpersonal skills, flexible, patient and able to mentor others.
- Able to demonstrate the culture respect of the participating community and follow relevant costume
- Abel to travel and stay in field till assignment accomplishment
- In case of being female. Should have Mahrum while working in the field or travelling.
