Job Description
We are currently seeking applications for the position of Security Guard Vacancy: (KDR10-OSHR), the role of the position holder will be to protect staff, assets, and premises by preventing and responding to security threats, unauthorized access, and potential risks. The holder of this position is required to play a role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff and organization in official hours.
The Security guard is to contribute to the overall safety and well-being of staff and property within OSHR in official hours. Furthermore, essential measures and proactiveness skills would be an asset to prevent security breaches and respond effectively to any security-related challenges.
- Prevention of Threats: Visible presence to limiting the potential malicious intensive actions or acts if taking place in the office by strangers/ visitors.
- Access Control: Regulating entry and exit points, checking identifications, and ensuring only authorized personnel are allowed access to restricted areas.
- CCTV and Monitoring: Monitor CCTV cameras and alarms to identify and respond to suspicious activities.
- Emergency Response: In the event of emergencies respond promptly to provide assistance, manage crises, and implement emergency procedures.
- Protection of Assets: Safeguarding of assets, equipment, and property from theft, vandalism, or damage.
- Enforcement of Rules and Policies: Enforcing organization policies, rules, and regulations related to safety and security.
- Event Security: Managing crowd control and ensure a secure environment.
- Customer Service: Maintaining a vigilant stance, provide assistance and information to individuals within their designated area.
- Patrols: Conducting regular patrols of the premises to detect suspicious activity, and ensure the security of the area.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring that security equipment, such as cameras, alarms, and communication devices, is properly maintained and functioning correctly.
- Crisis Management: Handling crisis situations, including natural disasters, fires, or any other emergencies that may arise.
- Maintaining Confidentiality: Handling sensitive information with discretion and maintaining confidentiality as required by the nature of the security role.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining detailed records of visitors, activities, incidents, and security-related matters, providing essential information for investigations and improvements in security procedures.
Job Requirement
- High School Diploma or equivalent education level will be an asset.
- 1-year Previous experience in security, preferably in a humanitarian organization.
- Interpersonal and communication skills.
- Understanding of the principles of humanitarian work and commitment to the organization's policies.
