About MSI Reproductive Choices Afghanistan (MSIA): MSI Reproductive Choices Afghanistan (MSIA) is a branch of MSI, a global, non-profit, and non-governmental organization headquartered in London, UK, and was established in August 2002 after registration with the Government of Afghanistan. MSIA follows the local mission statement of MSI: Improve Afghan women’s health and well-being so that they can, in turn, build strong, healthy families. Our vision is to be the organization that Afghan women seek out for high-quality, client-centered health care provided by women, for women. We focus on reducing maternal mortality by providing quality and sustainable maternal-child health (MCH) and reproductive health (RH) services and information in 17 provinces of Afghanistan, namely Kabul, Balkh, Herat, Jawzjan Faryab, Nangarhar, Helmand, Kandahar, Baghlan, Kunduz, Badakhshan, Takhar, Samangan, Kapisa, Khost, Paktia, and Daikundi, in coordination with the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) of Afghanistan. MSIA strives to enhance women's health outcomes in the aforementioned provinces by delivering vital reproductive and maternal-child health services through multiple channels such as centers, outreaches, the private sector, and MS Ladies (Family Health Houses).
Job Description
- Receive and verify financial authorized/approved data/documents/information and uploading to SUN accounting software.
- Check all invoices and supporting documents attached with each voucher for its authenticity and accuracy before uploading to SUN.
- Posting properly checked and approved staff salaries to the SUN accounting system.
- Posting Stock entry into the SUN after doing the stock usage reconciliation
- Checking and posting monthly Program Grand Income.
- Posting prepayments and accrual transactions into the SUN.
- Maintains files of source documents or other information (i.e. Vouchers, bank deposit slips, bank transfer documents, monthly payroll, tax deposit challan, etc.) related to data entered to the system.
- Liaison with auditors and providing finance related information to external auditors.
- Complete posting of financial data into SUN at least 3 days before monthly closing deadlines.
- Maintaining confidentiality of financial and other information related to the organization.
- Preparation of MoE and Tax authorities required reports.
- Review and control of actual expenditure vs budget of all active project.
- Reporting to Finance Manager/Country Director/Deputy Country Director about any fraud or misappropriation of funds by the other staff.
- Allocate regularly BS Account (Payable and Receivable Acc)
- Undertake any other task assigned by Finance manager or senior management.
Operational & Other Activities
- Assist in filing and copying finance documentation.
- Attend financial review meetings as required.
- Seek information and advice and attend training as necessary to maintain comprehensive understanding of MSIA finance procedures.
- Liaise with auditors and provide required documentation, as advised by Finance Manager.
- Conduct spot checks for physical verification of assets and stock, as advised by Finance Manager.
- Support year-end verification of MSIA assets and stock.
- Other relevant activities as agreed with your line manager.

Job Requirement
- Qualified Degree FIA, ACCA part qualified,
- 1-2 Years NGO experience is required.
- Experience of using SUN accounting software is preferable.
