About Georg Fiebig Consultants Pty Ltd: Georg Fiebig Consultants Pty Ltd (GFC) serves as the Monitoring Consultant for its client and facilitates the implementation of four projects in northern Afghanistan focusing on provision of basic human needs and social integration. These projects encompass various components such as water and sanitation, health, livelihood, agricultural resilience, food security and social integration. The projects are implemented by national and international NGOs.

Job Description

GFC PTY Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Monitoring Officer - Female to join its dynamic project monitoring team. This role will support GFC in achieving the objectives of the projects in the region through a close collaboration with its regional teams.

The expert will support the project implementation and undertake monitoring visits (together with a mahram) to the project sites as part of the monitoring consultant’s team.

Job Requirement

  • Work closely with the Monitoring Consultant’s team to align monitoring activities with project goals and objectives and to ensure the effective implementation of monitoring frameworks.
  • Participate in regular meetings and briefings (virtually and in person, where possible) to provide updates on field activities and discuss monitoring strategies.
  • Conduct regular monitoring activities at the project locations to assess the progress and quality of ongoing projects while ensuring adherence to established monitoring protocols and guidelines.
  • Oversee the collection of relevant data, through various methods, including surveys, interviews, and site visits during community engagement, awareness campaigns and community initiatives facilitated by the Implementing Partners.
  • Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting, contributing to the overall success of the monitoring process and analyzing data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide on-the-ground support to facilitate monitoring of support components for women, in the specified sectors and ensure the quality and reliability of monitoring data through regular validation processes.
  • Ensure close liaison with women beneficiaries under the projects in coordination with the Implementing Partners for support and quality services.
  • Prepare and share timely and accurate reports on monitoring findings, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations with relevant stakeholders and contribute to organizational learning.
