Job Description
Job Summary
Finance Officer responsible for all accounting and financial management of the PIDO Ghazni office. A Finance Officer is responsible for all financial aspects of organization. He manage the budget, prepare financial reports, and ensure that all financial transactions are conducted legally and ethically. Finance Officer preparing various monthly reports to analyses PIDP financial health, including finance reports, general ledger entries, and goods received notes, and goods issued notes. The Finance Officer establishes and maintains efficient administrative systems and control mechanisms to support the smooth running of the operations and ensure compliance with administrative, human resources and financial rules and procedures.
The role of the Finance Officer is to receive all completed worksheet accounts from the field office and health center, check all accounts for accuracy and completeness. Advise project managers on their budgets and assist them to manage their budgets.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day financial and administrative functions of the project
- Managing monthly payroll process and keeping payroll records
- Financial Reporting: Preparing monthly and quarterly reports including budget variance reports, trial balance, cash flow reports, sales receipts and banking reconciliation and balance sheets
- Advise Project Managers on their budgets and assist them to manage the budgets effectively
- Prepare vouchers based on supporting documents
- Check the accuracy of bills before making payment
- Check project expenses, supporting documents, and payment approval
- Manage and record day to day expenses through petty cash
- Supervise and control all expenses related to vehicle maintenance and fuel consumption
- Preparing and collecting reasonable and accurate supporting documents
- Provide training and support to project teams and staff on financial management policies, procedures, and tools.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Required Skills and Experience
- 2 or 3 years of relevant experience in the field of financial management and project financing.
- Familiarity with project budgeting, financial planning, and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.
- Sharp time management skills
- Fluency in English and Dari and/or Pashto, both written and spoken
- Computer skills at the operator level, especially with QuickBooks and MS Office packages
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines, with minimum supervision.
- Strong sense of integrity and personal commitment to the goals of PIDO.
