About Company

About International Medical Corps: Organization Background: International Medical Corps is a global humanitarian nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through healthcare training and relief and development programs. Established in 1984 by volunteer doctors and nurses, the International Medical Corps is a private, voluntary, nonpolitical, nonsectarian organization. Its mission is to improve the quality of life through health interventions and related activities that build local capacity in areas worldwide. By offering training and healthcare to local populations and medical assistance to people at high risk, and with the flexibility to respond rapidly to emergencies, the International Medical Corps rehabilitates devastated healthcare systems and helps bring them back to self-reliance. To learn more about our mission, visit https://internationalmedicalcorps.org/who-we-are. Project Background: To overcome the contextual challenges around community-level protection services, more specifically, due to the sensitivity around GBV activities, MoPH ban on mobile teams, and restriction around community-level activities under health, IMC will roll out GBV prevention and response and PSS services integrated with the Child Protection subsector. IMC will establish 8 Children and Family Social Centers (CFSCs) that will act as integrated service delivery points for MHPSS, PSS and CP. Since CFSCs are fixed facilities with separate areas for males and females and serve children, among others, there is less sensitivity around establishing such centers. The IMC’s protection programming is designed to ensure women and girls are better protected and empowered to access opportunities, services, and support responsive to their needs. Reducing violence against women, men boys and girls Prevention is a key element in IMC’s protection program. As the program is transitioning to static center-based service provision, IMC will engage men and boys through basic life skills and social empowerment activities within the CFSCs which will facilitate more structured skills-building sessions in the static centers. IMC upholds and ensures accountability in the provision of various services to women, men, boys and girls, and survivors of violence.
