Job Description

Job Purpose

The purpose of this position is to supervise, coordinate and manage the daily activities of the Child protection in Emergency project titled “Humanitarian Child Protection service provision in Ghor Province”.  The project is designed to ensuring that vulnerable children have access to quality and inclusive child protection services through provision of information on the risk of landmines and explosive remnant of war and through provision of emergency child protection services and assistance including psychosocial support, case management for Unaccompanied and separated minors, referrals to the most vulnerable children and families to address immediate protection needs. The post holder will prepare weekly and monthly implementation plans and ensure all field based Program staff have work plans in place and their progress monitored and will report the project progress to Program Manager. Further, the project coordinator will also represent War Child at the provincial level.

Job Description

The Duties and responsibilities may include but not limited to:

Keep close coordination and communication with the project team, WCUK management and the project stakeholders;
Facilitate the process of project registration and coordination with the relevant line departments in the city and district level;
Organizing coordination meetings with stakeholders in the respective province and districts;
Develop implementation mechanism considering the Covid-19, improve the project detail implementation plan and support the project team in developing action plans & reports;
Manage the day to day implementation of the project activities ensuring optimal management and utilization of human and financial resources of the project;
Carry out monthly budget reviews of the project budget in coordination with Finance team;
Support and guide procurement, admin, and finance activities are according to organization policies;
Establish strong communication and coordination with the provincial and districts CPANs.
Supervising and support the team in developing and conducting psychosocial support for children and their parents to cope with the situation during covid-19;
Make sure the identified psychosocial cases are managed and supported with proper PSS plan.
In consultation with MEAL department, ensure proper case management and records of the cases according to the standards.
Conduct regular meeting with the team and report the outcome of the meetings to management team;
Develop and submit the project weekly & monthly reports to the MEAL department, line managers.
Responsible for controlling and monitoring the safety of staff through using PPE kits and considering the Covid-19 protective measures
Other duties assigned by the line manager.
