Job Description
The Finance Assistant is responsible for bank transactions, procurement process, taxation, and other accounting entries.
Maintain an organized filing system for contracts, invoices, and logbooks.
Maintain the regional cashbook and bankbook, submitting them to the main office monthly.
Oversee all finance-related transactions in the South Region.
Handle withdrawals from and deposits to the bank, as well as currency exchange.
Prepare cash payment and receipt vouchers for expenses.
Ensure proper filing of vouchers and financial documents.
Closely monitor the cash distribution process to project beneficiaries.
Scan and copy documents as needed.
Take charge of overall finance-related transactions for the HQ finance team.
Manage the cashbook and cash on hand.
Conduct regular cash counts, including daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations.
Report any taxable procurement/purchases to the main office.
Participate in quotation collection, RFQ distribution processes, and other procurement tasks.
Fulfill any other tasks assigned by the line manager.
Job Requirement
- University degree in finance, accounting, BBA, or economics from any recognized university.
- Minimum of three years of experience in finance, with a focus on NGOs. Experience with international NGOs is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong communication skills, fluency in one of the national languages, and familiarity with the English language.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with QuickBooks is considered an asset.
