About ANHDO: Background of organization Afghanistan National Horticulture Development Organization (ANHDO) is a national non-governmental, non-profit, and non-political organization registered with the Ministry of Economy and established in April 2009. The development of ANHDO is part of the European Union (EU) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock's (MAIL) long-term strategy for the development of the horticulture sector in Afghanistan. Since then, ANHDO has developed into an important institution for horticulture development by comparing among other skilled and experienced Afghan professional organizations in the horticulture sector. ANHDO is operating in close coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock (MAIL) based on a separate Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Hence, ANHDO is a cornerstone of the long-term strategy for the development of the horticulture sector in Afghanistan.

ANHDO is seeking a seasoned and accomplished professional to assume the pivotal role of Director of International Fundraising Strategy. In this high-profile position, you will be responsible for crafting and executing sophisticated global fundraising initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organization's overarching mission and strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience, strategic vision, and a proven ability to secure substantial international funding
Job Description:
- Develop and implement strategic international fundraising plans that intricately align with organizational goals and values.
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with high-profile donors, INGOs, foundations, and government entities on a global scale.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive donor stewardship program to enhance engagement and build long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to integrate fundraising efforts harmoniously into the organizational framework.
- Conduct in-depth research on global funding trends, ensuring that fundraising initiatives remain responsive to donor interests.
- Produce meticulously crafted grant proposals, presentations, and reports tailored to meet the expectations of diverse international funding sources.
- Oversee and manage high-profile fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives, ensuring excellence in execution and donor experience.
- Conduct regular evaluations of fundraising strategies, utilizing performance metrics to refine and optimize approaches.
- Stay abreast of international regulatory landscapes, ensuring all fundraising activities adhere to compliance standards.
- Represent the organization at international conferences, forums, and events, solidifying its global presence and cultivating strategic partnerships.
Job Requirement
- Advanced degree in a relevant field, complemented by a proven track record of successful international fundraising.
- Extensive experience securing and managing substantial international funding, with a minimum of (15) years in progressively responsible roles.
- In-depth knowledge of contemporary fundraising methodologies, ethical standards, and industry best practices.
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to inspire confidence in diverse stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking, organizational proficiency, and project management acumen.
- Proven ability to innovate and conceptualize groundbreaking fundraising initiatives.
- Familiarity with international donor landscapes, funding mechanisms, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in relevant fundraising and relationship management tools and technologies.
