Job Description

Job Description:

The accountant's responsibilities include but are not limited to ensuring, timely and accurately reporting records and documentation, tracking the payments/receipts, account reconciliations, and account maintenance. He/She will also help support weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual grant review and financial reporting in close collaboration with the CFO of Finance.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing financial software and systems to manage and analyze financial date.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements by accounting principles and regulations.
  • Generate regular financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
  • Record financial transactions, including expenses, and adjustments.
  • Monitor and control costs to optimize efficiency and profitability.
  • Identify areas for cost reduction or process improvement.
  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger.
  • Post journal entries and ensure the accuracy of financial record
  • Process and review accounts payable transactions.
  • Manage daily cash balances and prepare cash flow statements.
  • Monitor and reconcile bank statements
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.
  • Prepare and provide documentation as needed for audit purposes
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Attend relevant training sessions or conferences to enhance.
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirement

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor of Business Administration or BA in Finance/Accounting is required. Having MBA degree/accredited qualification from any accountancy body such as ACCA is plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of working experience in finance and accounting-related fields in NGO/INGOs or Private companies is required.
  • Languages: Proficiency in both national languages and English language is Excellent.
  • Experience in QuickBooks and generating reports.
  • Self-motivated, Quick learner with a positive attitude.
  • Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong accounting and finance management skills.
  • Cooperative and team-working skills
  • Being flexible regarding working hours.
  • Disciplined, honest, professional, and hard worker.
