About Company
About TLO: The Liaison Office (TLO) founded in 2003 as an Afghan non-governmental organization (NGO) that emerged from a Swisspeace pilot project (supported by the Heinrich Böll Stiftung) with the aim of improving local governance, stability, and security through systematic and institutionalized engagement with customary structures, local communities, civil society groups, and government institutions. TLO is based in Kabul, with regional offices in Paktia, Khost, Kandahar, Herat, Mazar, and Nangarhar and additional field offices across Afghanistan. TLO works to achieve its objectives through key program activities: research and analysis, dialogue facilitation for peacebuilding, access to justice and governance, humanitarian assistance, third party monitoring and evaluation, and environment & natural resources management.
Job Description
- Develop and Implement Safeguarding SOPs/Policies:
- Create comprehensive safeguarding SOPs tailored to the project's context for implementation of TLO’s PSEA and Safeguarding Policies, as established in already developed policies,
- Ensure SOPs/policies comply with national and international standards.
- Training and Support:
- Conduct training sessions for staff and volunteers on safeguarding practices.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance on child protection issues.
- Monitoring and Reporting:
- Regularly monitor activities for compliance with safeguarding policies, especially for children.
- Report any incidents or concerns in a timely and confidential manner.
- Collaboration:
- Work with external agencies, like child protection services, when necessary.
Job Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
Minimum of 3 years in child protection or safeguarding roles
Excellent communication, empathy, strong organizational skills.
