About Movement for Protection Organization(MPO): MPO is an Afghan National, Non-profitable, non-political, non-governmental civil society organization established in 2007, registered with the Ministry of Economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan as registration # 1016. MPO is working for protection and emergency response education, livelihood and economic development advocacy and peace building.
Job Description
MPO is implementing social worker in Daykondi & Bamian province of Afghanistan. The Project component aims to address pressing protection concerns of returnee and IDP children (children on the move) and also vulnerable children from host communities, and aligns with the strategic priorities of the Afghan Government and Humanitarian agencies, mainly focus on the child protection issues by strengthening and establishment community based protection mechanism and structures, promote Volunteerism and support.
- Conduct surveys and assessments in the communities and provide feedback and suggestions for the development of the education program for Children on the Move.
- Create durable relations with community through regular meetings and informal discussion for identifying and addressing education needs and issues. He/she will spend approximately 80% of his/her working time in the field. Each community should be visited once a month or more as needed.
- Assist the community members and elders in establishing (Shuras) to monitor and support the education activities in the community specially with children on the Move.
- Work with community members to identify education needs create work plan and assure that they are supporting the education program and (Shura) members.
- Establish and maintain productive work relationship and coordinate activities with provincial/district/hub school MoE and other organization staff.
- Ensure the transparency in Family repair/maintenance and material distribution activities in the community and their records.
- Conduct campaigns and trainings for raising awareness about gender especially for improvement of female education and their further participation in education and Children Protection.
- Conduct meetings and trainings for other members of the provincial Protection team with Children and their family Member and (Shura) members for developing their capacity in planning and implementing Child Protection activities.
- Prepare training materials and programs with assistance of the Project Manager other staff and the Provincial Child protection Officers according to the Proejct needs.
Job Requirement
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Proven experience with Education: Degree BBA or related field
- Experience in Relevant Field
- Fluency of English Language and Local or Official Languages
- Office Full Package (Word, Excel, Power point )
