Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities of Program Officer:
Under the overall supervision of the executive director and deputy director, the program officer performs the bellow tasks:
- Support the program coordinator in designing projects, programs and concept notes for REOA.
- Support in managing REOA programs and projects and supervise and manage project staff and external short-term consultants.
- Support in monitoring REOA programs and projects and ensuring smooth implementation of the activities with efficient use of resources.
- Support the project team in recording and accounting documentation as required by REOA and preparation of required financial reports.
- Ensure the financial operations of the project is transparent and are in line with regular audits and evaluation standards.
- Support in preparation of work plans, monthly reports, project completion reports, financial reports, and other progress reports on regular basis based on the requirement of REOA and the donors.
- Represent REOA on any meetings with other agencies like, NGOs, INGOs, UN and government departments in absence of executive director and deputy director.
- Support an environment of learning for staff within the program.
- Any other relevant task assigned by the executive director and deputy director.
Job Requirement
Qualifications:
- BA degree in public administration, law and political science, economy or any other social science related fields
- At least 2 years of experience in management, communication and women rights
- Team management skills, conflict management skills, communication skills, work prioritization skills and creativity
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
- English language skills both written and speaking
- Familiarity with computer programs (Office, Emailing and Internet Browsing)
- Commitment and respect to the organization goals, policies, statute and core values
- Ability to travel to the project sites
