About ANAFAE: The Afghan National Association For Adult Education (ANAFAE), founded in September 2005, with the support of DVV International works to foster the development of local Adult and Community Learning Centers, promotes education strategies and programs for disadvantaged groups, young adults, with a particular focus on literacy, basic education, education for employability and lifelong learning. In the literacy programs of ANAFAE and its partner DVV International, youth participants learn reading, writing, and numeracy, reflect on their role in the family and community, deal with health and hygiene topics, and develop ideas for their economic activities. These literacy programs have a direct and positive effect on the personal development, family health, and school attendance of children.
Job Description
Overall responsibilities:
The Consultant will serve as a key project staff and his core objective is to conduct an assessment to identify and select the vocations/trades and beneficiaries.
The consultant will work closely with the project team, and he/she must draft and finalize the Concept/TOR/Plan, and implement the assessment based on related project activities per the organization's relevant policies, and strategies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Draft and finalize the concept of the assessment to identify and select the vocations/trades and beneficiaries for the project
- Develop the project-level assessment plans and associated work plans for each activity
- Develop/customize the Assessment tools for the project
- Coordination meetings with stakeholders (ACCI, AWCCI, FACT, etc.)
- Field visits of all project locations for data collection and provincial assessment report
- consolidate and finalize the overall Assessment Report
- Identify/Finalize the fields/trades and list of target beneficiaries/instructors & master trainers
- Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Project officer and other relevant departments
Deliverables:
- Assessment concept note, Plan, and Assessment tools/questionnaire (by 10 Jan 2024)
- Final hard and soft copies of concept note
- Final hard and soft copies of the assessment work Plan
- Final hard and soft copies of Assessment tools/questionnaire
- Provincial assessment reports including photos (by 25 Jan 2024)
- List of fields/trades at the provincial level
- List of master trainers for implementation of fields at the provincial level
- List of instructors for each field at the provincial level
- consolidated and finalized overall Assessment Report including photos (by 30 Jan 2024)
- List of fields/trades at the overall project level
- List of master trainers for implementation of fields at the overall project level
- List of instructors for each field at the overall project level
- final presentation of the assessment to ANAFAE and donor (by 31 Jan 2024)
Job Requirement
- At least a bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Business administration, Political Science, and any other related fields (Priority will be given to Master’s degree holder)
- At least three years of experience in survey/assessment with its evidence documents
- Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis, and production of reports
- Good Coordination and Communication Skills
- Fluency in spoken and written English is required, Dari and Pashto languages are also necessary.
