Job Description
The Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Receiving UASCs arriving in GTC during the evening.
- Keeping regular communication with the project manager and GTC team leader.
- Delivering adequate information and directions for the new UASCs arriving in GTC.
- Provide, complete, and submit distribution forms in a timely manner to the GTC Team Leader.
- Monitor and check UASCs’ food and refreshment and the distribution process and report any concerns.
- Distribute hygiene kits to the UASCs arriving in GTC with completing distribution forms.
- Maintain a proper filing system by recording accurate data in hard and soft in Excel databases.
- Adhere to War Child UK policies and procedures, including Child Safeguarding and a code of conduct.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly night shift activity report to the GTC team leader
- Divide and direct UASCs in GTC to different rooms based on age and appearance.
- Monitor night-shift cleaners and drivers during the night shift and report to the GTC team leader.
- Check UASCs’ rooms regularly (every 15 minutes), record and report any incidents to the GTC Team Leader and Project Manager
- Refer sick UASCs to IOM doctor/clinic and take care of them and refer those UASCs with disabilities to social worker supervisors.
- Replying to related emails during the night.
- Prepare UASCs’ IN & OUT list, sign, and submit to social workers’ supervisors.
- Participate in workshops and training conducted by the office.
- Contribute to creating a culture committed to safeguarding children and adults
- contribute to creating a culture committed to the safeguarding of children and adults and compliant with WCUK’s Child Safeguarding and Adults at Risk Policies.
- Any other tasks assigned by GTC Team Leader.

Person Specification
War Child in Afghanistan operates in a dynamic environment with a team of highly motivated and dedicated staff. The right candidate will share these qualities and bring effective leadership to a diverse team. The successful candidate will be a creative problem solver and foster a solution-based approach to management.
Experience and mandatory criteria:
- Bachelor degree
- 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Previous experience in a similar position with international or national organizations or government authorities;
- Fluent in speaking and writing Dari, Pashto & English languages
- Good report writing and presentation skills
- Knowledge of computers (office package).
- He should be a team worker, and a problem solver, and should possess good communication skills.
