Job Description
Community – based Nutrition Program (CBNP) project manager is responsible for implementing and supervising the nutrition program at the field level in adherence with CBNP’s and national protocols/guidelines and in collaboration with local partners. S/he reports to the head of base.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee the implementation of program that he or she is responsible for both on-time and within the set technical specifications
- Coordination and communication with all partners in the target provinces
- Plan activities with the support departments (administrative logistics)
- Use management activity results and context monitoring tools.
- Provide support and advice to the logistics base for the purchase of materials specific to its program activities.
- Assess the relevance of activities the effectiveness of interventions and their appropriateness in light of changing circumstances and the needs of ORCD and donor.
- Propose adjustments to programs if necessary.
- Ensure the achievement of results of the programs for which he or she is responsible.
- Anticipate the difficulties associated with conducting CBNP activities and help solve problems related to programs activities
- Propose program adaptations according to the changing environment and indicators
- In collaboration with the administrative service contribute to the development of program budgets budget follow up and proposal budgets for the program parts
Human Resources Management:
- Fulfilling recruitment for the national technical staff under PM responsibility
- The administrative/HR departments define the prerequisites for the vacant positions and if necessary adapt the referent job profile.
- Welcoming and briefing new employees working under his or her direct supervision
- Implement training related to operational requirements and the identified training needs
- Manage and support the team he or she is supervising
- Evaluate the performances of his team members
- Identify potential changes in members of team and provide feedback to Program manager
Reporting/Communications/Representation:
- Work closely with field team for quality reporting to Kabul
- Write reports and annexes concerning his program for donor reports and/or amendment
- Ensure compliance with reporting deadlines and guidelines.
- Maintain operational communication network and positive relations with tall partners and other National international agencies in cooperation with the coordination team
- Representation in the meetings or forums concerning the program in his place of employment
- Represent Organization on request and/or delegation
- Write the administrative documents to be signed (MOU handover…) jointly with governmental authorities communities or partners
- Prepare handover reports before the end of his employment contract and forward them to the relevant persons.
- Any Other task assign by the line supervisor.
Job Requirement
- MD with nutrition experience
- Three+ year experience as a manager for health project
- Advanced English language and report writing skills
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
