About ORCD: Organization for Research & Community Development (ORCD) is a Non-governmental, Non-political, Non-profitable and independent organization founded in 2010 by a group of community development and research specialist. The aim of the organization is to contribute to the development of Afghanistan as an integral part of the international community. It envisages accomplishing its aims by building local capacities, generating evidence in various disciplines, promoting evidence-based on best practices and implementing development projects aimed at community development at the grass root level. ORCD is a multi-donor funded NGO, implementing health, agriculture and community development projects in several provinces of the country

Job Description

Overseeing overall financial management of the project;

Maintaining complete set of books of account according to the principle of accounting and updating it on daily basis;

Ensuring accuracy of supporting documents;

Verifying availability of funds for project activities and recommending for any changes in budget line, if needed;

Preparing vouchers and processing payments for all financial transactions and processing payment request

Prepare and submit to Finance Manager of periodic financial reports for further submission

Providing assistance to Finance Manager in preparing annual and quarterly work plans and budgets;

Preparing audit follow-up action plans, and ensuring that the action plan is implemented;

Preparing monthly shadow budget for tracking delivery of project deliverables;

To assistant recruitment process of new employees at provincial level

Supervise and control all supporting staff members and give them the necessary guidance to improve work processes.

To make an employment contract for all staff members and new employees

Check and employment contracts on yearly basis

To update and maintain all personnel files in a confidential manner;

To laminate and bind and all the necessary official books and documents;

To update the contact sheets of provincial office on a monthly basis

To check all personal files on monthly basis

Renew the ORCD ID cards for every ORCD staff member at the end of each year.

Prepare weekly report to project manager on weekly basis

Responsible for preparing and follow up of weekly schedule of duties for guards, and cleaners.

Translation of documents English to local language and local language to English

Any other task assigned by line manager

Job Requirement

  • Be Afghan
  • Graduated from recognized BBA.
  • Having 3-4 years’ experience.
  • Able to speak in Pashto, Dari and English.
  • Knowledge of computer MS office in word, excel, power point, internet and outlook.
  • Able to work in the fast pace environment.
  • Able to go to the field
