Job Description
Job Purpose
The incumbent for this position is responsible to do family tracing, escorting the UAMs to their destinations and handing over to their families across Afghanistan and while needed handing over them to SWs who are based in Kabul for completing the handing over process to their respective families and collect proper documentation and high buy-in of receiving families.
The Duties and responsibilities may include but not limited to:
- Conduct follow up interviews of unaccompanied minors brought to compound from Islam Qala Border.
- Coordinate with SW Supervisor and assist in family tracing, re-integration and post integration monitoring
- To ensure that the transition of the children from transit camp to handing over to their respective families runs smoothly with proper documentation and high buy-in of receiving families.
- Organize and coordinate post-integration monitoring through Department of Labor and Social Affairs (DoLSA) and the relevant provincial Child Protection Action Network (CPAN) where the children and their families live.
- Identify unaccompanied minors who were re-integrated into their families
- To coordinate closely with the War Child UK Monitoring and Evaluation Department on M and E requirements of the project.
- Conduct intake interviews, prepare case profiles of deported unaccompanied minors, conduct family tracing where needed and develop re-integration plan and post integration monitoring and ensure that management of cases are in accordance to the Minimum standards for child protection in Humanitarian action
- Conducting debriefing and counseling session with minor and their families
- To coordinate closely with the War Child UK Monitoring and Evaluation Department on M and E requirements of the project
- Closed coordination and cooperation with staff in border.
- Maintains and adherence to all War Child policies and procedures, including Child Protection policy.
- Attends all supervisory meetings, team planning meetings and curriculum meetings scheduled by PM.
- Given guidance on developing of case management system.
- Keeping Closed coordination and communication between War child, DoRR, CHA and IOM in the Camp.
- Keeping updated the Supervisor and Project Manager on the progress of project activities.
- Prepare and submit weekly, monthly and quarterly Reports to the Supervisor/Project Manager.
- Prepare proper documentation as per WCUK policies and procedures when delivering children to their families and for travel expenditures.
- Any other tasks required by Supervisor/Project Manager.
- Contribute to creating a culture committed to the safeguarding of children and adults and compliant to War Child’s Child Safeguarding and Adults at Risk Policies.

The successful candidate will be creative problem solver and foster a solution-based approach to management.
Experience and mandatory criteria:
- Bachelor Degree in the field of social science/ any other related.
- Minimum 2 years work experience in Child Protection with I/NGOs
- Experiences with working inside Child Friendly Space
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening skills
- Ability to allocate and review priorities to meet the deadlines
- Ability to identify problems ad resolutions
- Able to work independently with little supervision
- Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to team’s success
- Commitment and to understand of War Child UK values.
- Having Positive and encouraging personality
- Able to work with smart phone devices (Computer skills in Microsoft Office is preferred)
- Ability in speaking two national language Dari and Pashtu (Basic English Language Skills is preferred)
