Job Description
Media play vital role in keeping people aware. Radio is the source of information for most people in Afghanistan. People living in remote areas and far districts get information and awareness through radio only. In polio eradication program, media contributes above 50% of the awareness.
Azadi Radio (RFE/RL) is one of the very few radio channels having coverage across the board and can be listened in all parts of the country. Because it is having the transmission on medium waves and short waves. Azadi radio is most listened radio channel in Afghanistan for news and daily updates. The Azadi radio social media platform is having more than 3.5 million followers on Facebook.
In this light, the polio programme would like to recruit 7 Reporters - Extenders to support polio partnership with Azadi Radio. The reporters will be based in seven regions of the country and will be able to travel to the field as needed.
