About Organization for Health Promotion and Management(OHPM): OHPM is committed to promote the lives of communities through provision of comprehensive and standardized health, education and development services; conducting trainings, researches, surveys and evaluations independently and/or collaboratively at local, national and international levels that would ultimately result in a sustainable well-being and self-reliance of vulnerable communities /age groups (Especially of the women of reproductive age and under five children). OHPM selected by the UNICEF and is responsible to delivering the HER (BPHS & EPHS) in Kapisa, Paktika, Helmand & Herat provinces and implementing other vertical projects in Khost, Parwan, Panjshir, Zabul, Nimroz and Kandahar provinces funded by the UNICEF, UNDP, UNFPA, WHO, WFP, OCHA, according to established and agreed targets (for quality and coverage), and thereby contribute to achieving the goals of the Ministry of Public Health which are to: Reduce maternal and newborn mortality, Reduce under 5 mortality, improve child health and nutrition.
Job Description
- Manage the Afghanistan Public Pre-Hospital & Referral Ambulance Services Project in the related province
- Coordinate the project with all stakeholders
- Develop annual, quarterly and monthly operational plan for ambulance service.
- Develop annual, quarterly and monthly monitoring plan for the ambulance services and for the substations.
- Develop annual, quarter and monthly financial plan for ambulance service
- Develop annual, quarter and monthly procurement plan for ambulance service
- Regular monitoring of the ambulance services in the related provinces
- Ensure the pre hospital health care service providing effectively
- Active participation in the meeting at the provincial level
- Regular updating the main office on the project progress and the challenges
- Conduct regular meeting with the ambulance staff including staff of the sub-stations
- Making proper planning for the effective management of the mass causalities at the provincial level with close coordination with the stakeholders
- Ensure the activation of call center and all substation’s 24/7
- Regular collection, analysis and report of the data on ambulance services and related activities
- Any other duties as assigned by the line manager.
Job Requirement
- Afghan National
- Medical Doctor (MD), preference will be given to the candidates with post-graduate degrees in Hospital Management.
- At least 3 Years’ work experience in in the management of the emergency projects in or public health management with government or non-government organizations or UN Agencies;
- Ability to work under pressure, flexible and able to multi-task,
- Ability to create a supportive working relationship with all project teams
- Working knowledge of English language and fluent in local languages;
- Ability to work on Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Travel to districts of the assigned province is a must
