About Marie Stopes International Afghanistan: Marie Stopes International Afghanistan (MSIA) was established after registration with the government of Afghanistan in August 2002. MSIA follows the mission statement of MSI, which is to Improve Afghan women’s health and well-being so that they can in turn build strong and healthy families. Our focus is to contribute to reducing the maternal mortality ratio and providing quality, sustainable MCH/RH and family planning services and information across all provinces of Afghanistan in coordination with the Ministry of Public Health, Afghanistan. MSIA is currently operating in 14 provinces of Afghanistan namely, Kabul, Balkh, Herat, Jawzjan Faryab, Nangarhar, Baghlan, Kunduz, Badakhshan, Takhar, Samangan, Helmand, Kandahar, and Kapisa. MSIA delivers MCH/RH and family planning services through various channels such that centers, outreaches, social marketing, and MS Ladies. Job Description

  • Oversighting of medical and non-medical guidelines and policy implementation
  • Active coordination and participation in PHCC, interagency, and security meetings
  • Ensure medical quality assurance action plans are followed to meet MSI standards
  • Co-develop training plan for staff and outside doctors and midwives
  • Contracting all the trainers, training materials
  • Advocate MSI-A projects and programs 
  • Submitting the HMIS report to PhD
  • Close coordination with PPHD
  • Standard record keeping of medical and non-medical management information system
  • Assessment and implementation of new projects
  • Regular monitoring of sales team and preparing monthly reports to HO
  • Understanding and following, MSIA medical and non-medical guidelines and policies
  • Regular monitoring and supervision of guidelines and policy implementation
  • Analyzing the program output for a better planning
  • Make sure clinics are running up to a high standard of quality of care and information
  • General coordination with all stakeholders
  • Advocate MSI-A projects and programs. 
  • Timely report of all program activities to the MSIA channel leaders.
  • Working with the recruitment committee to hire the right staff members
  • Regular monthly meetings with management staff and review target achievements and prepare action plans accordingly.
  • Close coordination with the staff and community at the provincial level.
  • Provincial financial management based on MSIA guidelines and standard
  • Control of logistics and procurement   procedures at provincial levels
  • Any other program-related tasks assigned by the head office from time to time.

Job Requirement

  • Advanced degree in MD/ Public health or related discipline required
  • 3-5 years of Proven experience in managing projects and operations within the project’s framework
  •  Solid experience in project management and working in a collaborative environment
  •  Ability to influence others within the organization while being open to other people’s views through negotiation skills
  •  Demonstrated experience in preparing and monitoring internal procedures for adherence to regulations and policies related to projects.
