Job Description
- Extension of veterinary services in Manteqa level.
- Support poultry beneficiary selection survey.
- Supervise and provision of technical guidance and support to poultry beneficiaries that includes of training about related topics.
- Support and manage BVWs to facilitate technical guidance on vaccination.
- Data collection from BVWs, VFU/Artificial insemination, and poultry beneficiaries to support development of a complete veterinary database.
- Support awareness session to herders about animal contagious disease, vaccination and medication time.
- Distribution of information packages to BVWs, and beneficiaries.
- Support to organize radio programs messages on veterinary and livestock relates topics.
- Support provincial veterinarian on managing to provide technical support to BVWs, VFU/Artificial insemination, and poultry beneficiaries.
- Support provincial veterinarian on vaccination campaign, treatment of herders’ animal disease, deworming (prevention animals form Endo – Parasite) campaign,
- Support provincial veterinarian on managing vaccines stocks, registration of vaccination data.
- Weekly, monthly, and quarterly report provincial veterinarian and agriculture & livestock team leader.
- To carry any other responsibilities in regards to job requirement.
Job Requirement
- University degree in Veterinary, or related field.
- 1 - 2 years of experience in similar position.
- Should be familiar with the area’s culture, traditions and its sensitivities.
- Experience in working with and coordinating with INGOs and other stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal, intercultural and communication skills.
