Job Description

Position Summary:

The Social Mobilizer responsible for mobilizing communities to present public awareness and social mobilization sessions as well as plan,  implement and monitor community engagement activities, promote the adoption, and  strengthen the sustainability.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Conduct micro-planning session with districts and villages targeted, and develop monthly working plan
  • Promote of keys behaviours related to Health, Nutrition, WASH, Education and child protection,
  • Ensure risk communication during emergency (COVID-19, Cholera, Measles, etc..)
  • Encourage the communities to provide the feedback  (AAP) and ensure response are given back.
  • Support and monitor community engagement activities with relevant platforms: Planning (Community action plan), Capacity building, implementation.

Job Requirement

  • High school graduate, Bachelor degree in the relevant field is preferred.
  • At least 1 years of experience in social mobilization, social work, community engagement, or capacity building is required.
  • Previous experience with national and  international NGOs will be an preferred.
  • Proven skills in public awareness raising, outreach, trainings and community dialogue sessions.
  • Fluency in Pashto and Dari languages.
