Job Description
- Review Project design & specification
- Monitor Road work according project specification and design.
- Attend weekly monthly meeting with contractor regarding Project update progress and discuss the problem which help Project for smooth running.
- Monitor Road earthwork and bridge construction work and culvert construction work running according approved design
- Ensure that the contractor is granted possession of the site in accordance with agreed program.
- Provide assistance to the team leader for the review and approval of the DED.
- Liaise with the appropriate authorities to ensure that all affected utility services are promptly relocated.
- Review and approve the contractor traffic Management plans.
- Review and approve the contractor proposal for UXO clearance and supervise implementation.
- Carry out the checks on the contractor setting out and ensuring that the works are carried out in accordance with drawing and other design detail.
- Maintain full and detailed department site records including site correspondence, survey data, quality acceptance data site diaries, measurement and certification, minutes of meeting and records of all other contractually relevant matters.
- Monitor the contractor’s quality control plan procedures and laboratory testing and carrying out independent testing as required.
- Ensure that works are executed in accordance with all provision of the contract including those relating to standards of material and workmanship, health and safety requirements and environment protection requirement.
- Measurement the works, agree and certify interim and final payment certificates for submission to the employer in consultation with the team leader, and assisting the employer in preparing loan withdrawal documentation to ADB.
- Assist Team leader in administrating, assessing and, where appropriate, making recommendation of applications for extension of time, claims for additional payment and other contractual dispute.
- Review the contractors’ proposed program and technical recourses for routine, emergency and winter maintenance and provide training to EA staff who will take over quality control and administration of maintenance.
- Assist land acquisition and resettlement activities being undertaken by government and the provincial authorities in cooperation with the Resettlement Specialist.
- Prepare, with the assistance of Environment Specialist, environment Monitoring reports for inclusion in the quarterly and annual reports.
- Monitor the implementation of the health and safety program on Site including the information and education campaign on sexually-transmitted diseases including HIV/AIDS as required by contract.
Job Requirement
QUALIFICATIONS: (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS) must have send the University degree along with Experience certificates
EDUCATION: Minimum degree of BS in civil engineering.
WORK EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 7 years experience in the field of Road Project Manger
SKILLS: Ability to use windows, excels, word, etc
LANGUAGES: Language proficiency in spoken and written English, Pashto and Dari
GENERAL: Tactfulness, Enthusiasm to the job. Good Human Relation skills, integrity and ability to work under pressure. Must be willing to spend time in environments with limited facilities.
