Job Description
- Responsible for directing, shooting, editing of video and photography content for use online on websites and social media channels, as well as print material if and required;
- Undertake regular travel to Sub-Offices in North and West region of the country, to gather material for multi-media projects;
- Professionally handle digital video camera and associated equipment and master framing, white balance, lighting (basic rules) and audio recording techniques for video;
- Work with the Multimedia Editor to identify and retrieve "B-roll" video footage and audio content for projects;
- Coordinate with peers and line manager for researching story ideas, preparing clearance letters for shoots, identifying talent and interview subjects, and updating or transcribing scripts for video projects;
- Provide additional production support to the Communication unit;
- Ensure IOM Communication guidelines are applied to all digital content;
- Ensure adherence to local norms and cultural sensitivity;

Any other related task that may be assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirement
Education
- University degree in Audiovisual, Information Management, a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience. Technical training and certification in television or video journalism, communications, information or other media is an asset.
Experience
- At least two years of professional experience at progressively higher levels of responsibility in videography/film, broadcast journalism, communications or public relations or related fields is required;
- Able to interface across units and departments within IOM to extract relevant information;
- Ability to work under pressure and to follow suggestions and constructive recommendations.
Skills
- Essential: Experience in shooting and editing videos in HQ and in Photography
- Desirable: Knowledge of Adobe suite
- Good communication and report writing skills.
Languages
Fluency in English, Dari, and Pashto
