ASMO is a free-standing, not-for-profit Afghan organization that aims to create positive health outcomes by giving Afghan households the information they need to make informed and healthy choices and expanding access to high-quality health products through commercial markets. From its inception to date, ASMO successfully implemented multimillion Dollar projects in Afghanistan through sub-awards sponsored by USAID focusing to improve maternal and child health outcomes through the private sector.
Job Description
The Admin & Finance Manager will be primarily responsible for financial activities including ensuring that financial statements (balance sheet, statement of profit and loss, and statement of cash flow) are up-to-date according to the policies and procedures. Also, he will be responsible for managing and controlling assets, items, and other operational activities. He/she will be responsible to oversee the performance of finance and administrative staff. This position will report directly to the Executive Director.
Admin:
- To supervise transport, security staff, and housekeeping staff.
- Manage and control assets, including office and warehouse equipment, generators, and vehicles.
- Responsible for maintenance and repairs related to premises and equipment.
- Adto with and follow admin and other policies and procedures.
- Other duties assigned by line manager.
Financial:
- Supervise the work of finance staff and make sure staff perform their duties as per policies and procedures.
- Ensure transactions are recorded in the QuickBooks in a timely manner, accounts are reconciled, updated, completed.
- Responsible to check and follow up on the accounts receivable and payables regularly.
- Work with the department on budget, budget-expenses variance reports.
- Assist the Director of operations with budgeting and other financial activities.
- Ensure that financial records are properly documented in line with the policies and procedures.
- Ensure tax laws and procedures are followed, and documented and tax deposits are made on time.
- Responsible to prepare, and submitting annual tax returns and clearance.
- Ensure financial management policies and procedures are adhered to and followed.
- Other duties assigned by the line manager
Job Requirement
Job Requirements:
Education & Qualifications: MBA will be considered a plus. BBA or BSc degree required.
Experience: At least 8 years of practical experience in financial management and administration
IT/Technical Skills: Practical skills in QuickBooks, and MS office.
Training: Proven records of training in QuickBooks and accounting standards
Management: Ability to manage time, resources, leases, and staff
Technology: Proficiency in financial software, MS Word, Excel
Language: Fluent in verbal and written English and Dari/Pashto
Communication: Excellent in communicating with people written/verbal
