Job Description
PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Case Manager will be responsible for the overall case management activities of the CPiE project in Badghis/Ghor/Farah province in terms of screening, identification, counseling, referral, and case management of the affected children. S/he will be fully responsible for supervising the case management team under CPiE project in Badghis/Ghor/Farah Province. S/he will be reporting directly to the Provincial Project Officers (PPOs).

Major Activities
- Responsible for ensuring proper and quality implementation of the Case management component of the CPiE Project.
- Facilitate identification of VAC and vulnerable children.
- Facilitate all trainings on case management for PSS workers and social workers
- Facilitate training of Parents on and care givers on Self-Care and positive parenting in crisis.
- Conduct referral mapping (any other assessments)
- Ensure all documentation, case files, reports, and records are maintained
- Facilitate mentoring and coaching of PSS workers on various topics, as outlined in the implementation plan.
- Ensure all cases are case managed with confidentiality clause adhered to
- Coordinate case conference meetings
- Ensure that case workers are trained on case management, identification and registration of the children
- Ensure the quality of the inter-agency case management tools
- In coordination with the CPiE team, support regular participatory activities with different groups of children to identify issues affecting children and assists team to develop appropriate responses.
- Must adhere to the child safeguarding and protection policies and reporting standards.
- Write and submit weekly activity reports to provincial project officer/project manager.
- Ensure that targets for all Case Management related activities are met
- Perform other tasks as requested by CPiE Coordinator.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with project participants, community leaders, and other community members
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with the project team and other Help colleagues
Job Requirement
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Minimum education, training and experience requirements to qualify for the position:

- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counselling or related area.
- Understanding of protection principles and child rights.
- Strong skills in communication.
- English and Dari – reading, writing, and verbal skills. Pashto speaking and writing a plus
Minimum work experience required for this position:
- At least 3-4 years’ work experience in the similar field with INGOs and/or reputed NGOs
- Interpersonal, management and conflict resolution skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office and statistical programs
- Ability to work in a team environment
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Educational degrees / certificates and skills preferred for this position:
- Master degree in relevant field is preferred.
- Understanding of gender programming
- Communication skills and knowledge of local communities.
- Strong capacity building and facilitation skills

- The position is based in Badghis/Ghor/Farah city with field travel to project sites in districts. The successful candidate will receive an orientation to the role and operating environment.
