Job Description

  • Represent ADWSO at the district and provincial level and liaise with NGOs and local government authorities in order to inform them of ADWSO’s work.
  • Plan and ensure sound execution of interventions for Children in Street Situations (CSS), Children released from juvenile rehabilitation centers, children at orphanages, and children with disabilities at the provincial level.
  • Ensure the children identified and admitted by the program fulfill the eligibility criteria and that their cases are managed in a timely manner.
  • Select a location for the establishment of a Child-Friendly Space (CFS) and encourage the community to support the CFS. Oversee the CFSs to ensure their effective operation.
  • Establishment of counseling centers in public health clinics.
  • Ensure that all vocational training and small business activities at the provincial level are well-planned and have clear manuals delineating objectives, lessons, and outcomes.
  • Assist the vocational training officer/business development officer to ensure the skills of children selected for the program are enhanced and their businesses/vocations are going as planned.
  • Facilitate training for social workers and community leaders.
  • Identify and provide awareness to the polio refusal families.
  • Create Awareness of Explosive Ordinance and Remnants of War (EORE) for school teachers and students.
  • Collect and compile reports on project activities, challenges, and observations. Submit them to the supervisor in hard and soft forms.
  • Monitor the project activities e.g. coordination with stakeholders, identification of children in street situations, released from juvenile rehabilitation centers, orphanages, and with disabilities,
  • Perform case management and family tracing, and reunification of Unaccompanied and Separated Children.
  • Document and share the concerns of people through established feedback mechanisms on questions asked to address their needs.
  • Travel to other provinces when required to deliver lessons learned or attend capacity-building workshops.
  • Report the project’s progress to the project manager.
  • Perform any other task assigned by the supervisor.
