Job Description

  • Within the Unconditional Seasonal Support (UCSS) project The Admin Finance Officer is responsible for:
  • Supporting Finance Manager to ensure high standard of financial stewardship in the Unconditional Seasonal Support (UCSS) project and at the field.
  • Assisting FM and the project manager in maintaining books, accounts and other financial records of OHR adhering the financial standard of OCHR financial system to ensure accountability.
  • Reviewing the correctness and adequate of accounting documents before making payments
  • Preparing all payments, cash withdrawal by bank and clearing advances
  • Undertaking all transactions at bank (preparing transfers, receiving bank debit and credit advice, bank statement every month or where required)
  • Coordinating with cashier to record all receipt vouchers, payments paid in cash to the ledger
  • Performing cost allocation of accounts to put into vouchers
  • Entering all payment vouchers, receipt vouchers and other journals into QB on daily basic
  • Assisting to FM for monthly closing report
  • Preparing and assisting reconciliation of bank and cash
  • Ensuring accounting documents/files for audit
  • Preparing fund request for field office.
  • Dealing with customers include bank, visitor, consultant and staff on finance and accounting when required.
  • Help Implement the Unconditional Seasonal Support (UCSS) project’s activities and ensure safe delivery of the activities as per the project implementation plan.

Job Requirement

  • University degree in BBA, Social Science with specialization in humanitarian response programs and Finance.  
  • At least be familiar with Finance Basic principles, Finance policy and other terms.
  • Two years of experience in similar projects with preferably two years in NGO’s sector       
  • Technical and practical competence in humanitarian response projects, financial issues in emergency response programs.
  • Experience in managing tough contexts and project driven organizations.
  • Proven experience in finance department and as a finance role in projects.
  • Excellent written and oral English language and computer skills.
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Prior experience with WFP, FSAC clusters, relevant UN agencies or at least NGOs.
  • Structured, well organized and self-driven
  • Excellent communication, cooperation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build other people’s capacity
  • Culture and conflict sensitive
