About Future Generations Afghanistan: Future Generations (FG) is the collective name for an international network of non-governmental organizations including FG Country Programs in Asia and Africa, Future Generations University (FGU) and its alumni in 17 countries, academia, and individual’s experts. The original charitable organization, Future Generations, was established in 1992 for the purpose of learning from, and building upon the world’s most successful examples of community empowerment and social change. It is complemented by the Future Generations Graduate School (Future Generations University) in 2006 in the State of West Virginia with authorization to provide a Master's Degree in Applied Community Change focus on Conservation and Peace building. The Future Generations Afghanistan (FGA) established in May 2002 and obtained its registration certificate from Ministry of Economy, Government of Afghanistan in October 2005. Since 2007, FGA has been operational in Eastern Afghanistan, and successfully completed development and humanitarian programs in Nangarhar, Laghman , Kunar,Nuristan,Logar, Wardak, Nimruz and Herat Provinces
Job Description
The Project Manager will be directly responsible to Regional Manager for the project planning, implementation, reporting and monitoring and Evaluation of the activities and project. He/she will build up the current project and work closely with head office, donor agency and government related ministries and directorates
Job Requirement
- Responsible for financial and technical reports of activities in target province and districts.
- Ensure the project staff take appropriate security precautions
- Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly project progress reports
- Lead the design of a data collection and management system to generate data, analysis and feedback on quality of the project
- Manage, supervise, coordinate and monitor project activities in provincial level
- Manage the complete operation of the project including its budget, personnel and plan in provincial level.
- Responsible for managing and controlling logistics, admin and finance activities of the project in related province
- Having good coordination and communicate with, beneficiary, local government and other stake holders,
- Report on the outcomes and the performance of the project to line supervisor.
- Ensure implementation of organizational policies
- Present project activities at relevant provincial conferences and meetings
- Contribute to the development and conduct of the evaluation and monitoring of the project; take part in internal assessments of the project and report to donor
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of staff directly supervised
- Ensure project delivery in a timely manner and with attention to quality at provincial level.
- Conduct regular meeting with staff members focusing on progress, obstacle and other issues pertaining to the project in the target area.
- Assure coordination, cooperation and implementation of the training workshops
- In close consultation with Provincial / Regional manager, prepare work plan for training and job placement and evaluation and data collection.
- Coordinate project plans and activities with Provincial Manager, and Donor Agency team and participate in regular meetings.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Regional Manager
Qualifications:
- Fluency in English is a must, with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Computer knowledge of Ms office (Word, Excel and Power Point).
- Honest and Trustworthy.
- Excellent Communication & Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent knowledge of and proven capacity in communication, public policy and advocacy
- Must have strong facilitation skills and work as a team player
