Job Description
Position summary:
Office Cook is responsible to Ensure that the War Child Staff/Visitors receive daily lunch and regular tea services.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and a clean/sanitary kitchen. Including pots/pans, dishes, glasses, and utensils.
- Order kitchen supplies and equipment as needed.
- Purchase food and tea items.
- Maintain inventory records of food/tea items and submit regular expenditure reports to relevant administration department.
- Prepare and serve daily lunch, and tea for staff and visitors
- Collect lunch money from staffs on a regular basis.
- Clean the lunchroom(s) daily
Occasional Significant Duties
- Arrange the tea break for a special office meeting/workshop(s) and clean up afterwards
PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Kitchen and contents are clean / hygienic at all times.
- Daily lunch is served on time.
- Inventory of kitchen supplies and food/tea are properly maintained.
- Variety of staff lunch menu
Job Requirement
Qualification:
Academic Background and Knowledge
- Secondary school graduate
- Some; literate to keep track of payments and expenditures
- 5-10 Year Experience as a good cook in National and International Organizations.
Skills
- Ability to cook well
- Basic understanding of good nutrition
- Organizational / multi-tasking skills
