Job Description
MPO will hire Finance Assistant in Miramor ,Khadir District of the Daikundi Province. They will be assisting Project Manager in the following activity.
Key Responsibilities;
- Assisting in the preparation of budgets
- Managing records and receipts
- Reconciling daily, monthly and yearly transactions
- Preparing balance sheets
- Processing invoices
- Developing an in-depth knowledge of organizational products and process
- Providing customer service to clients
- Resolve financial disputes raised by the customer service and sales teams
- Being a key point of contact for other departments on financial and accounting matters
- Supporting the Finance Manager and executives with projects and tasks when required
- File systems development and maintenance
- Funding program support to Executive Director
- Schedule management for funding programs, deadlines and report initiation
- Word processing, minute taking, photocopying, scanning, etc.
- Leads office and kitchen supply management and inventory controls Financial Support
- Audits accounts to make sure that payments are timely, computes interest charges and codes documents for loan officers.
- Checks other people's work to make sure that their final figures are correct, noting errors and the causes of any miscalculations.
- Utilizes computer systems to run databases, pay bills and order supplies.
- Provides customer service, accepting payments or providing refunds.
- Contacts individuals with delinquent accounts.
- Calculates, prepares and issues documents related to accounts such as bills, invoices, inventory reports, account statements and other financial statements
- Code, total, batch, enter, verify and reconcile transactions such as accounts payable and receivable, payroll, purchase orders, cheques, invoices, cheque requisitions, and bank statements
- Compiles budget data and documents based on estimated revenues and expenses and previous budgets
- Prepares period or cost statements or reports for Accountant or Executive Director
- Calculates costs of materials, overhead and other expenses based on estimates, quotations, and price lists
- Responds to customer inquiries, maintains good customer relations and solves problems
- Supports budget management
- Stay current with all regulations, practices, tax laws, reporting requirements and industry trends
- Performs other duties as required.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor in Business Administration, Finance.
- Knowledge of NGO’s community level operations
- Verbal and written reporting skills
- Knowledge of the humanitarian operations
- Excellent coordination, communication and representation skills
- Fluency in local language of the relevant community is essential
