Job Description
Job Summary:
ACTED'sTrainer will be responsible to provide capacity building program – design and train handouts to ACTED staff, and other relevant components which is required.
The trainer is based in target province, with extensive travels to target province and districts. The trainer will spend an approximate 40% of his/her working time in the target office, and the other 60% in other ACTED offices or in project sites in the target provinces.
Job Purpose
Responsible for participation in all ToT’s and conducting trainings under all activities within HPD in all Northern Provinces.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Create training programs to address skill gaps in beneficiaries.
- Prepare learning materials for programs, and other relavent department.
- Conduct training needs assessments for target groups and other relevant assessments for the project.
- To ensure transparency, train staff on community participatory monitoring and social audit.
- Assist project team in terms of community mobilization in every step of the implementation.
- Develop and facilitate training and workshops for target staff and local authorities.
- Develop training modules, and conduct, and follow-up training with target beneficiaries.
- Conduction of training on Gender, psychology, Human Resource Management, and other relevant training as per project work plan.
- Maintain training data (qualitative and quantitative) and do analysis regularly to make sure planned activities and training improve the skills and knowledge of the target groups; and
- Conduct field visit regularly (at least 90% monthly) and provide field visit report and reflect points for further improvement, as well as prepare a monthly activity plan and report.
- Ensure all training sessions are efficient, records completed and filed.
- Develop training solutions for new resource implementation.
- Responsible for successful delivering the trainings in accordance with the programs Operation Manual, approved project proposal, work plan and budget.
- Regular supervision and technical support chief trainer and others relevant managers.
Team Management
- Promote accountability, communicate expectations and provide constructive feedback informally and formally via regular one on one and performance reviews.
- Create and sustain a work environment of mutual respect where team members strive to achieve excellence.
- Participate actively in weekly area or base meetings, workshops, seminars and conferences organized by ACTED.
External representation
- Close communication with the government, authorities and other NGOs focal points, and support to all provincial teams in their cooperation with line departments;
- The Chief trainer is expected to contribute to the creation of a positive image and overall credibility of the organization, notably through the application of ACTED’s mandate, ethics, values and stand-point with regard to other actors.
In coordination with the high management, under the direct supervision of the project manager, participate in coordination platforms based in Kabul as needed and relevant
Job Requirement
- Female candidates with ability to participate in ToT’s develop training manual on Hygiene and conduct trainings
- Able to conduct training and awareness program in community level
- work in field with community and able to travel in districts of the province working in
- Bachelors or advanced degree from an accredited university – related to social science, education, law, economics, or any other related fields
- Minimum of 4 years’ working experience with NGO’s and organization
- Able to work in very critical situation
- Able to work with current government situations
- Well computer and internet skills
- Able to work on and create success stories from any of the well done activities in field
- Ability to create and maintain relation with other partners and organizations for children referrals
- Experience in working with community and community mobilization
- Familiarity with cultures of different Afghan communities
- Very good interpersonal communication skills
- Very good teaching/lecturing skills
- Must be computer literate and familiar with basic computer software including MS Office and internet use
- Report writing skills
