Job Description

  1. Accounting and Financial Management
  1. Cash and Bank Management
    1. Supervising and checking daily petty cash
    2. Update the cash forecast on a monthly basis
    3. Perform the cash count with the cashier on end of each week and month.
    4. Manage the bank relationship
    5. Processing of bank transfers
    6. Assist with preparing vouchers for bank transactions and preparing bank reconciliations as needed.
  2. Supervise and actively assist with the monthly close and reporting process
    1. To do any adjustments as needed.
    2. Preparation of monthly reconciliations.
    3. Checking and verifying that all vouchers are posted at the end of the month as per check-list.
    4. Provide assistance to others on the team who need support with monthly reconciliations.
    5. Preparation of monthly reports for projects (Budget vs Actual)
    6. Solving queries from all projects and related agencies regarding their monthly reports.
  3. Checking and verifying of all financial supporting documents.
  4. Assisting the annual audit.
  5. Assisting to year end closing.
  6. Supervise and provide support to the Cashier and Accountant in their field of works.
  7. Assist with monthly payroll preparation as requested by Finance Manager.
  8. Prepare the draft donor reports
  9. Respond to all emails and phone calls within 24 hours.
  10. Prepare cheque and do the proper calculation for tax deductions as required.
  1. Tax Compliance
  1. Make sure the taxes (contractor, rental and wages) for the regular payment and adjustment is calculated correctly.
  2. Assist with filing and follow-up of all tax returns.
  3. File annual tax return to MTO and obtain tax clearance in a timely manner.

Job Requirement

  1. At least 4 years of experience in Finance & Accounting and working with the Medium Tax Office
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance (or related field) MBA, ACCA or advanced qualification preferred
  3. Fluent English, fluent written and spoken in Pashto/Dari are required
  4. Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
  5. Computer skills including the ability to operate spreadsheets and office processing programs at a highly proficient level
  6. knowledge of electronic spreadsheets
