Job Description
Job Summary:
The Senior Project Officer manages and coordinates the development, implementation and evaluation of complex projects to achieve project outcomes and support the achievement of organizational objectives.

Reporting Obligations:
- Senior Project Officer will report directly to Project Manager of A4T.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of work/operational plan in coordination with management.
- Receive, Review and compile project progress, interim and final reports for donor’s submission.
- Assist the project manager in preparing program plans, updates and reports.
- Draft guidelines and formats for project implementation, monitoring and supervision of projects in coordination with monitoring section.
- Liaise with monitoring section and other stakeholders on effective projects implementation.
- Assist the Project Manager in day to day project activities.
- Follow up on project progress to achieve set objectives in a given time frame.
- Be informed on Project and be able in the absence of Project Manager to answer inter-departmental queries.
- Attend at the meetings and other sessions and events in the absence of Project Manager.
- Carry out any other assignment as advised by Project Manager or (A4T) leadership.
Expected Results:
- Monthly Report on project progress with activities carried out, recommendation made.
- Project completion report and other documents i.e. project contract, payment of installments and progress reports.

Job Requirement
- Qualifications /Experience Required:
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration.
- 5 to 8 years of experience with NGOs in the field of Project Management and Implementation.
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages, experience in handling of web based management systems.
- Proficiency in report writing.
- Excellent communication skills: speaking, writing, and listening.
Abilities:
- Fluency in English and local languages.
- Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member.
- Ability to think and communicate clearly with others, motivate and lead people.
- Demonstrated abilities to take initiatives, build consensus and make things happen.
- Professionalism in appearance and demeanor.
