Job Purpose:
To ensure better compliance of the AML/KYC policy for Bank Alfalah limited and DAB AML law & regulation within bank branches & units and liaise Internally and Externally for timely actions and - guideline, and Compliance with Regulations of the DAB. The Job holder must also ensure Identification of Compliance Risk matters and regular reporting to the Head Office Pakistan.

Strategy Implementation:
- Contribute to the development of the compliance department's annual plan to ensure that the activities and plans performed by the function are aligned to the group/divisional strategy and plans.
- Monitor the performance of the compliance department and prepare periodic reports on Its overall.
- performance to ensure deviations and identified, reported in a timely manner and that actions are adjusted to achieve set annual action plans.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Circulation of Head office, DAB and other regulators circulars/regulations/policies to Branches.
- Provide necessary guidelines to other departments regarding the implementation of Regulatory updates.
- Participate in various regulatory and technological implementations as per the bank's internal needs or as required by the regulators from time to time.
- Maintain a cordial relationship between DAB onsite inspection team and different departments. Effectively liaison with different department of the bank to ensure the information sought by DAB team is provided.
- Attend inquiries of (FinTRACA, AG Office, MOF, DAB and correspondence.
- Maintain, on a regular basis an MIS of all the local Regulatory Guidelines/Circulars/Requirements/Inspection reports pertaining to the Bank (as maintained at HQ-Compliance). identify gaps, all establish adequate controls to ensure Compliance of each Requirement, and subsequently ensure provision of an above details, and updated Compliance Status to Compliance and Control Group Head Office on a Monthly Basis.
Onsite Compliance:
- On-Site review of branches KABUL& HERAT once a year and escalation of compliance review report to the relevant stakeholders.
AML Compliance:
- PEP account review and advice branches for KYC updating.
- Account opening review from AML/KYC perspective and approval accordingly.
- Review and monitor out of pattern, FTTs. ITTs, local remittances and cash deposits into personal account and suspicious transactions/account based on the predefined criterion/ procedures.
• Ensure compliance of UNSC/OFAC sanctions and government instructions regarding freezing of accounts native individuals/entities.
• Perform random review of dally/monthly remittance to/from and follow up with relevant-branch/ unit for compliance of the same.
• Random review of monthly lCTRs and STRs and timely reporting to FinTRACA.
• Review of CDD/EDD of customers from quality prospective and escalate the identified issues to branches for rectification/remedial action
• Seek guidance from the Compliance Division on matters related to correspondent banking relationships.
• Follow AML/CFT policy procedures of HO compliance in light of DAB (Central Bank Afghanistan) and the State Bank of Pakistan laws and regulations.
Policies and Procedures:
- Recommend improvements to departmental policy and ensure the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of the compliance department. so that all relevant procedures/legislative requirements are fulfiUedwhile.deliveri08 a Quality and cost-effective services.
Continuous Improvement:
- Drive the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices within the function, take into account international best practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
Ad-Hoc Requests:
- Perform additional duties in line with the current role. as and when requested by Group Head Compliance and Control.
Job Requirement
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
Education:
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Finance, Management, Business, or any other Economics related fields (Master Degree is preferable) / Professional Qualification equivalent to Post Graduation.
- ACAMS Certificate or other valid International Compliance Qualification Certificates is mandatory.
- Member of ACCA
Minimum Experience:
- Shall have at least three years of experience in Compliance Department and five years of banking experience or comparable financial Institutions.
Job Specific Skills:
- Knowledge of Bank's Policies& Procedures, Abreast with latest Regulatory/Reporting requirements, Quick & appropriate resolution of problems/issues.
