About ORCD: Organization for Research & Community Development (ORCD) is a Non-governmental, Non-political, Non-profitable and independent organization founded in 2010 by a group of community development and research specialist. The aim of the organization is to contribute to the development of Afghanistan as an integral part of the international community. It envisages accomplishing its aims by building local capacities, generating evidence in various disciplines, promoting evidence-based on best practices and implementing development projects aimed at community development at the grass root level. ORCD is a multi-donor funded NGO, implementing health, agriculture and community development projects in several provinces of the country.
Job Description
- Draft narrative and financial reports on contributions, in compliance with specific donor requirements.
- Liaise with all units and regularly collect project progress data for report compilation.
- Consolidate and analyze data on program/project implementation and indicator in order to facilitate the preparation of periodic reports.
- Compile and follow up weekly and monthly reports with provincial managers.
- Review and provide feedback to reports collected from field.
- Developing a communications strategy and media plan for the overall project activities
- Prepare visibility and marketing materials as per the donor requirements.
- Provide regular monthly reports on the work carried out in the project for internal management.
- Where appropriate, taking part in orientation sessions for media coverage
- Work closely with project Management staff, where applicable, to ensure accurate and effective data presentation, graphics and media collection.
- Ensure proper and on-time printing of visibility materials and supply to field.
- Ensure correct usage and installation of visibility materials on field including banners, stickers, media collection and other important visibility related activities.
- Contribute to the preparation of publications
- Preparing mass media information of the project (print, electronic etc.)
- Participate in coordination meetings with government and donor departments.
- Prepare and disseminate meeting minutes and follow up based on corrective action plans.
- Where necessary, participate in and lead media and visibility related field activities (this will include travelling to various locations as required by the project).
- Other project related administrative tasks.
Job Requirement
- Graduated from medical faculty, Economy, Business Administration, or any other recognized institution
- Proven skill in English language especially in drafting, editing, preparing and finalizing project documents such as reports, proposals, agreements.
- Excellent Computer skills including proven skills in MS Office programs.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
- Ability to effectively communicate accounting information policies and /or procedures in a manner easily understood by the inter-agency personnel and donors.
- Ability of travel to provinces for data collection and coverage of donor visibility activities.
