About Rehabilitation Association and Agriculture Development for Afghanistan (RAADA): Rehabilitation Association and Agriculture Development for Afghanistan (RAADA) started its humanitarian activities in Afghanistan in the year 2002. RAADA has completed the AHF due diligence, achieved the AICS certificate, and has ACBAR membership. Furthermore, RAADA is an active member of the ACBAR twinning program, food security and agriculture cluster (FSAC), WASH cluster, ES/NFI cluster, humanitarian response team (HRT), and provincial development council (PDC). RAADA started its activities with the vision of “Poverty no Longer Exists in the World” and works toward its vision with the Mission Statement of “Mitigating Poverty and Contributing to Reconstruction and Development Process in Afghanistan through Community-based Solutions and Interventions”. As a local Non-Government Organization (NGO), RAADA started working in Herat province and extended its activities in the western, eastern, and northeast regions of Afghanistan. Since 2002, RAADA has Implemented more than 150 projects in many sectors, such as Livelihood, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Sericulture, Human Rights, Gender Equality, Women Empowerment, Disaster Risk Reduction, Emergency Response, Energy generation/supply, Environmental protection, Construction, Water Supply, Health and Hygiene programs with the financial support of CAID, UNHCR, UNFAO, WFP, Italian Cooperation, VDT, INTERSOS, SAI, CVG, IRC, CRS, JICA, Tawanmandi-DFID, US Embassy, CPI, Promote, DRC, AHF, WHH, and WAR CHILD UK.
Job Description
The proposed project interventions will improve the beneficiaries’ livelihood and build the resilience of people in the districts of Herat province.
The manager is responsible for overall project activities, coordination, and communication (internally and externally).
Specifically, the manager’s responsibilities will be to manage the following listed project activities in the Zindajan and Enjil districts:
- Supporting and Improving female-headed households’ livelihood through income generation activities i.e. sericulture and carpet weaving activities.
Additionally, the manager will be responsible for reporting of the activities to the project donor.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the project team for implementation of planned activities in their set timeframe, preparing and managing project database and regular reviews of target indicators.
- Work closely with Child Protection and gender focal point, to implement the project objectives within the policy and procedures circle of RAADA and its donor.
- Work Closely and conduct regular meetings with the Program team to implement the planned activities according to the set target and in addition to that provide weekly update reports to the program team regarding the progress of project activities.
- Responsible for following RAADA’s policies and abiding by its code of conduct.
- Ensure that the project activities are in line with the standards and ethical principles of RAADA.
- Ensure timely and accurate reports are provided to the Program Manager.
- Responsible for preparing high-quality case studies of project success for the use of external communications.
- Work closely with the monitoring personnel to monitor project activities on a regular basis and find out the gaps, share them with the team, and make a proper action plan.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Program Manager from time to time
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of work experience in project management with NNGO or INGO, preferably in projects related to rural development, women empowerment, livelihood, income generation, and agriculture.
- Strong understanding of report writing.
- Being able to travel to the project site (Zindajan and Enjil districts)
- High understanding of the local context
- High understanding of PCM
- Proficiency in the English language as well as the local languages
- Proficiency in computer programs (MS Office Packages)
