About Salam Afghanistan Media Organization (Salam Watandar Radio Network): Salam Afghanistan Media Organization (SAMO) is the parent organization to Salam Watandar (SW) Radio Kabul (98.9FM), Salam Watandar Radio Network, SAMO Research, Evaluations and Learning (REL) center, SW News Agency (www.swn.af), Professional Media and Communications Training Hub, and SAMO Professional Technical Workshop on Media and ICTs. Established in 2003, SAMO has been one of the nation’s leading media organizations operating in all provinces of Afghanistan through more than 100 partner stations reaching over 22 million people across the country. Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Respect and obey the rules and regulations executed within the SAMO premises.
- Close collaboration and coordination with the operation team on cash distributions
- Assist in processing quarterly tax reports and following up on SAMO’s annual tax reports.
- Ability to visit clients and participate in meetings on financial issues.
- Assist finance supporting documents are complete (coding, authorization level types of documents)
- Carry out scanning vouchers and ensure that are sent to the Finance Manager on time
- Assist and support the finance team in developing document files and filing system up to date.
- Enter information into the financial accounting system of the SAMO
- Organize the payment of bills (electricity, post-paid bills, etc.)
- Assist Finance Team in maintaining an updated computerized cash book based on the documentation.
- Assist in keeping accurate records for all daily transactions.
- Support the Finance Team in time of audit
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the line manager
Job Requirement
- Having relevant internship experience would be a plus point.
- Having knowledge of Financial Software (QuickBooks) would be a plus point
- Should have bachelor’s degree in Finance, ACCA or equivalent to field
- Willing to learn, develop, and improve his/her own knowledge, skills, and experience in the relevant field
- Should have excellent knowledge of financial and accounting principles
- Advance MS office skills would be a plus point
- Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
- Good command of English, Dari, and Pashto is required
