Job Description
OB DESCRIPTION FOR Anesthesia Technician
The Anesthetist works in the hospitals (Covid 19 Hospital) to predominantly provide standard anesthesia delivery services. She must be completed anesthesia training at a recognized institute and have at least 2 years work experience in anesthesia. She/he assumes responsibility and accountability for their practice, applying up to date knowledge and skills in caring for each patient and family. He/she works as a member of a team that includes all staff of hospital.

- Respect medical ethics Maintain and promote positive relationships with colleagues
Safeguarding policy for Staff:
- Respect and follow International Medical Corps Safeguarding policy and never neglect, abuse, harm and exploit children, young people, and adult at risk,
- Report any actual or suspicious harm to the children and vulnerable adult caused by staff and program.
Job Requirement
The Responsibilities of a Anesthetist are to:
1. Provide perfectly general and loco-regional anesthesia concerning to the type of operation.
2. Perform physical examination of patient pre-operation and choice the type of anesthesia.
3. Check lab result and advice more lab investigation if necessary.
4. Ensure all require medicines and equipment’s for anesthesia is properly prepared before giving anesthesia (review the checklist to ensure all equipment and medicine concerning to their expiry dates are present and precise).
5. Take care of all anesthesia machines and other equipment’s.
6. Take care of patients after sugary (in the recovery phase).
7. Support the provision of primary health care within the community.
8. Counsel and educate patients in relevant areas of health.
9. Obtain specialized assistance as necessary (consultation or referral)
10. Share knowledge, skill and expertise with medical, midwifery and nursing students and all professional staff concerning their job requirements.
11. Perform limited, select administrative duties such as patient charting, recording, and reporting of data, clinic and/or facility management, or coordination of specific educational programs.
12. Participate in research, professional organization and related committees and in continuing education opportunities.
13. Follow established departmental policies, procedures and objectives; continuous quality improvement initiative; safety, environmental, and infection prevention standards.
14. Participate in provision of 24-hour, six-day hospital service, which may require evening, night.
15. Identify and report immediately any problem which interfere in the delivery of services or in achieving the program objectives to his/her immediate supervisor
16. Participate in weekly meeting of health facility to share information and discuss the program progress.
Note: Measurement of standard of performance is based on judgment by the immediate supervisor (Technical Manager)
on his/her own observation, feedback from the staff, and the community
