About Voice of Women Organization: Voice of Women Organization (VWO) is an Afghanistan-based non-governmental, non-profit, non-political, and non-partisan organization that specifically strives for the revival of women’s role in Afghan societies through advocacy for women’s rights, their legal and social protection, and their capacity building. VWO informally established in Kabul in 1998 and was registered with the Government of Afghanistan as the first women’s organization in the post-Taliban setup. The organization has since carried out scores of projects for the socio-economic advancement of Afghan women and girls. Voice of women organization established a headquarter office in 2004 in Herat province. In the beginning, it focused on women-related matters, and later on, in 2005, VWO established the first women protection center in Herat province.

Job Description

Title: Provincial Facilitator

Dept. / Location: Cash for Work Assistance for Women at Risk-UN-Woman Project- (Herat)

Reports to: Project Manager

Description: Each of the targeted provinces will have on provincial facilitator for the implementation of the cash for work intervention and coordination of the project. He/she will be the main focal point on each targeted province will work full time for the project. He/she will report the day-to-day activities to the project manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the project with relevant stakeholders and local authorities at provincial level.
  • Facilitate effective and smooth implementation of planned activities at provincial level.
  • Contribute to work planning by providing provincial level information for setting specific provincial targets and milestones in line with the overall Program’s results framework.
  • Contribute to the effective functioning of Program monitoring system develop provincial level monitoring reports and recommendations for post-monitoring follow up suggest necessary adjustments as per the monitoring findings.
  • Contribute to the timely preparation of quarterly and annual progress reports and organize correspondingly monthly and quarterly progress reviews at provincial level.
  • Ensure effective use of resources in compliance with UN Women rules and procedures as well as with donor requirements at provincial level.
  • Collect field reports from project staff and compile it for official purpose
  • Submission of field activities report to project manager (Daily, Monthly, Quarterly, Annually etc.)
  • Support project staff in report writing and other paper works.
  • Assist in analyzing the data /report collected and provide recommendation for improvement.
  • Any other relevant task given by the immediate manager.

Position Requirements: (Qualifications)

1-Completed Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in relevant field of work like: Business Administration, Management, Leadership or Political Law. 

2-At least 2 years of experience in a project management/coordination /team lead function for Humanitarian Services Technical Support and management in Afghanistan

3-Has experience working as filed coordinator, administrative officer, and filed management team leader.

4-An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans

5-Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management

6-Strong client-facing and teamwork skills

7-Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control.
