About ORCD: Organization for Research & Community Development (ORCD) is a Non-governmental, Non-political, Non-profitable and independent organization founded in 2010 by a group of community development and research specialist. The aim of the organization is to contribute to the development of Afghanistan as an integral part of the international community. It envisages accomplishing its aims by building local capacities, generating evidence in various disciplines, promoting evidence-based on best practices and implementing development projects aimed at community development at the grass root level. ORCD is a multi-donor funded NGO, implementing health, agriculture and community development projects in several provinces of the country.
Job Description
- Community mobilization and awareness raising about ORCD objectives and interventions, beneficiary selection criteria, social contracts, process of beneficiary profiling and baseline survey
- Collect data and information about project beneficiaries for the purpose of profiling, conduct interviews aimed at data collection of baseline survey and countersign Social Contracts by elders and Maliks of the selected villages
- Organize and schedule capacity building trainings, exposure visits, inputs distribution processes and other events like market linkages sessions, celebration of farmers’ day and etc. required
- Assist other project staff with collecting M&E data of the interventions taking place in field sites
- Undertake follow up visits to field sites following capacity building trainings are delivered to make sure the action points and takeaways are properly followed/implemented
- Accompany monitoring focal points of during field visits
- Convey messages of office and project stakeholders to communities and vice versa
- Report immediately any changes in security or political situation of target villages to Provincial Project Manager
- Participate in needs assessments, focus group discussions, awareness raising and information activities, and liaise with M&E team for feedback on M&E assessments
- Collaborate in the follow-up of the actions and referrals of the deliberations of the meetings and other activities, in coordination with the team.
- Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Job Requirement
- Be Afghan
- Graduated from 12 grade high school.
- Having experience of CM in NNGO or INGO.
- Able to speak in Pashto and Dari.
- Able to work in the fast pace environment.
- Able to go to the field.
