Now National Bank of Pakistan, Kabul Afghanistan is going to convert its operation to Islamic banking as per DAB Afghanistan Instruction.
Job Description
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required for the Position:
- Coordinate between NBP and Afghanistan Central Bank (DAB) for conversion of operations to Islamic Banking
- Assist in the establishment of Islamic Banking Operations in NBP Afghanistan by liaising between NBP AIBG, IFRG and DAB.
- Ensuring NBP Afghanistan’s adherence to DAB guidelines and standards for Islamic Banking
- Arrange relevant Islamic Banking training for NBP Afghanistan employees
- Develop and maintain relations with local commercial banks with regards to Islamic Banking
- Coordinate with NBP AIBG (Shariah Board, Compliance, Islamic Treasury) and other units for smooth transition of operations to Islamic Banking
Other Skills/ Expertise/ Knowledge required
- Good knowledge of Islamic Banking and its products especially credit related.
- Proficiency in at least one local official language and preferably both (Pashto and Dari)
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
- Ability to travel freely and interact with senior central bank officials
- Selected candidate will be required to get clearance/approval from Central Bank (as per their criteria) for his posting
Job Requirement
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration / Economics /Finance from HEC recognized university/institute
- Islamic Banking Certificate Courses
- Diploma in Islamic Banking and Finance
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience out of which at least
- 05 years should be in Islamic Banking,
- 03 years in credit/compliance related function
- Prior working experience in the area (as Islamic Banking Officer) will be given special preference
