About Afghanistan Rehabilitation and Education Program (AREP): Afghanistan Rehabilitation and Educational Program (AREP) was established in 1994 as an independent non-governmental, non-profit organization, AREP's learning experience as a development organization comes from its working association with communities in different areas of Afghanistan. More importantly, the development and growth of the organization have been through an evolutionary process, AREP registered with the Ministry of Economy and member of Education international, ACBER, ANCB, and DUKE OF EDINBURGH’S (The International Award for Young People). AREP is working for women, youths, children where disability is the top priority among the AREP three targeted groups in three main AREP core competencies/ technical expertise, a): EDUCATION (Formal and Informal education, b): CAPACITY BUILDING, Vocational Education Skills Trainings, Awareness Initiatives (Civic Education, Human Rights, Anti-Corruptions, Access to Justice, Peace Building & Conflict Resolution) and other training for aforementioned target groups] & c): COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT providing them assistance in the multi-cultural program, government and community dialog, peacebuilding and Rehabilitation & Small Infrastructure) throughout Afghanistan.

Job Description

  • Analyses the requirements of the company and organize IT the resources of the company accordingly
  • Evaluate the needs of the company and choose the most suitable software, hardware, and other IT requirements such as networking
  • Provide troubleshooting solutions
  • Ensure that all IT requirements of a company are fulfilled
  • Ensure the smooth functioning of all IT infrastructure such as servers and network connections, besides hardware and software
  • Ensuring the security of the physical and virtual components of Information Technology such as security of the server rooms and installing virus protection and firewalls
  • Organizing data, storing them securely, and creating backup
  • Update staff on new development of the organization's IT system and provide tips and tricks on regular bases.
  • Communicate guidelines and instructions in regard to TIH operation.
  • Maintain the record of office inventory and city power-related regulations affecting IT and propose power supply to the office is run professionally.  
  • Any other duties supervisor may advise.

Job Requirement

1. Bachelor’s degree in information technology is the basic requirement.

 2. At least having 4 years of working experience in the field of IT and inventory.

 3. Sound technical knowledge about IT, security of systems, and latest developments in the field

  4. Good communication skills

  5. Accounting and mathematical abilities required for IT

   6. Working knowledge in English and fluency in Dari and/or Pashto both written and spoke

   7. Proven service management experience of working with NGOs and similar offices.
