About CDEPO Community Development and Environmental Protection Organization (CDEPO) is an independent registered non-government and nonprofit civil society organization based at Afghanistan. CDEPO prime motto is to operate in the rural rehabilitation-development, capacity building, agriculture -livestock, irrigation, health, education, vocational training, local industries- handicraft improvement and development, literacy, consultancy and gender services to have a peaceful, environmentally clean and green Afghanistan, and to provide services delivery to the deprived and marginalized people of the society. In 2012 a group of educated, dynamic and like-minded youth working in the humanitarian and development sector, got together to establish an organization, for addressing the most urgent and pressing needs of the people of Afghanistan. True to this spirit the organization was named Community Development and Environmental Protection Organization (CDEPO). Considering their association with the humanitarian and development sector the group was cognizant of the plethora of problems plaguing the country. Consequently, the organization’s focus was not kept limited either in terms of geography or sector. Whilst operating in different districts of the province, CDEPO has been carrying a range of interventions in the areas of education, health & hygiene, youth & women empowerment, emergency response & preparedness, governance, free legal aid, human rights, etc. The type of activities undertaken by the organization range from capacity building to service delivery, with focus remaining on the deprived and marginalized segments of the society. Whereas in terms of operations what characterizes CDEPO’s functioning are its efforts to (a) enlist involvement of the locals when initiating activities at the grass root level; and (b) mobilize women for bringing peace, tolerance, and development in society.
Job Description
Professional Qualifications of the Successful Candidates
Successful Candidates should have the following competencies:
Strong and proven experience in conducting household surveys and community consultations at a scale in Afghanistan and/or similar crisis countries. At least 3 similar experiences.
Strong and proven experience in conducting socio economic analyses. A minimum of 2 similar analyses experiences.
Strong and proven experience in database development with various variables. A minimum 2 similar database development experiences.
Strong and proven experience in monitoring and evaluation experiences. A minimum of 2 similar experiences.
Job Requirement
Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or relevant field (Master’s degree being a plus)
Seven (7) years of relevant working experience with bachelor’s degree, and 5 years of relevant working experience with master’s degree.
At least 3 years of experience in area of specialization
Experience in the Region (Afghanistan)
Language proficiency in English, Dari and Pashto
