About Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance: Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (CHA) is a non-profit organization established in 1987 by a team of Afghan volunteers, registered with the Ministry of Economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. CHA is a multi-sectoral organization implementing Health & Nutrition, Education, Agriculture, Rural Development/ Social Protection, and Disaster Risk Reduction projects in different provinces of the country. CHA currently looking for qualified candidates for the position of Project coordinator in Ghazni, Parwan and Ghor province to ensure the sufficient implementation of the WASH project.
Job Description
Assist the overall WASH and Sanitation program management, which includes facilitating implementation and monitoring of WASH programs and activities within the CHA targets area.
• Plan the project activities at the district and community level
• Supervise and assist in district-level planning with the CLTS teams
• Lead and supervise CLTS staff of the project at the district level
• Takes an active part in revision and enrichment of training materials
• Develops training schedules as per the training modules/contents
• Assists in designing pre-tests and post-tests for the training to screen the trainees before and after the training
• Use the required training materials/ aids and ensure they are effectively used during the training sessions
• Supervise CLTS, WinS, and WinHF activities and give necessary feedback for better implementation of the project
• Ensure project achievements are according to the project annual work plan
• Preparing and developing an action plan and training plan for CLTS activities.
• Participation in developing curriculum and guidelines.
• Preparing required useful training and materials for the implementation of CLTS, WinS, and WinHF programs.
• Conducting training according to the plan to enhance the knowledge, skills, and behavior of staff.
• Implement community-led total sanitation (CLTS) in collaboration with WASH team members.
• Visit the project sites, CLTS communities, WinS, and WinHF on a regular basis for follow-up on the program implementation.
• Actively participating in all relevant meetings/workshops conducted in the province.
• Monitor field teams related to training activities, and assess and report on progress to program manager.
• Perform any other identical duty as assigned by the line supervisor
Able to implement WASH in health facilities and WinS.
Job Requirement
- Advanced University degree in one or more of the following disciplines: Public Health Nutrition (human nutrition/applied nutrition)/Public Health, Medicine, Nursing, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or another study relevant to WASH.
- At least 6 years of relevant professional experience in relevant projects, planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Proven ability to conceptualize, develop, plan and manage programs, leadership and teamwork abilities, good analytical, negotiation, communication, and advocacy skills.
- Advanced computer skills in Word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity/experience with other software packages and systems.
- Fluency in both oral and written English and Dari/Pashto.
