About Company
About Aschiana Organization: Aschiana is a non-governmental organisation founded in 1995 to help combat the rising number of children working on the streets in Kabul, Afghanistan. Currently, at our centres we provide basic education, nutritious meals, vocational training, as well as engage the children in art-based therapy and sports. We ensure a safe environment for them to nurture and grow. We also provide sponsorship for meritorious students to continue their school education, small business training to the families of these children, awareness raising training/activities for them and their families, legal assistance, as well as legal advice and counselling at free of cost. Our mission is to support street-working and war-affected children in Afghanistan, who are vulnerable and disadvantaged, and help to improve their quality of life. Aschiana’s vision is to reduce the number of street-working children in Kabul, Mazar-e-Sharif, Jalalabad, Gardiz, Herat, Kandahar, and Bamyan to ¼ over the next 10 years. In the past 25 years, our initiatives have directly benefited more than 150,000 children, youth and women across the country. For the year 2019-2020 our initiatives benefitted around 3,000 people.
