Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Ø EPI Supervisor under direct supervision of COVID-19 Vaccination Program Provincial Coordinator will be responsible for close supervision of COVID-19 vaccination activities in Herat districts;
Ø Conduct Supervising visits to COVID-19 immunization’s sites, using National COVID-19 vaccination’s checklist and providing on the job training to vaccinators;
Ensure all COVID-19 vaccine doses administered by COVID-19 vaccinator, are entered into identified reporting system with 24 hours of administration and be sure about availability of vaccination supplies to selected COVID-19 vaccination sites;
Ensure proper vaccine stock management and cold chain;
Identify and report immediately any program or administrative problems that may interfere in achieving program objectives;
To ensure that progress against project key indicators are updated on monthly basis at provincial office and HFs;
Ø To closely monitor the performance of project key indicators versus set targets on monthly basis and make sure effective action plans are developed to achieve project targets both at provincial office and HFs’ level;
Meeting regularly with beneficiaries, community leaders and health shuras to ensure program effectiveness and community awareness on COVID-19 vaccination significance in saving their life
Job Requirement
Qualification Required:
To be registered medical professionals (MD, Nurse, midwife) or Bachelor in Public Health with at least one-year experience in supervision of EPI or related fields;
Fluency in written and spoken local language;
Ability and willingness to travel to rural locations in Herat;
Knowledge of local environments;
Must be local resident
Proficient in MS office (esp. excel and world);
Ability to work alongside others under stressful conditions in conflict-prone situations.
