Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:
Assist the Nutrition Manager to implement Nutrition health project’s activities in the project designated sites in Enjil district of Herat province. And Assist the Nutrition Project Manager to ensure the community screening is fully functional and Nutrition adapted intervention and protocol is fully in place in consideration of the CoVID-19 Circumstances. S/he will have to work closely with the project manager to ensure standards of project activities.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES:
- Mobilize the target communities on the health component of the project.
- Assist the Nutrition Project Manager to ensure the community screening is fully functional.
- Ensure health care providers has enough PPE and the working environment is disinfected thoroughly.
- Assist project manager on coordination with WVA Pharmacy Coordinator in relation to any types of medical and non-medical supplies required for the respective project.
- Assist on developing the monthly consumption reports of the medical supplies, which is required to be, submitted WV Pharmacy Coordinator.
- Collect and file the project health related data and share with the health sector designated staff.
- Identify the capacity building needs of the health personnel in the target area.
- Ensure high quality and appropriated CoVID-19 related IEC material printed and installed/distributed.
- Assist Nutrition adapted intervention and protocol is fully in place in consideration of the CoVID-19 Circumstances.
- Set-up a referral system or severe cases patients.
- Other tasks assigned by the Health Supervisor.
Other
- Adhere to WV Child and Adult Safeguarding policy and standards.
- Adhere to WV accountability standards.
- To be aware and prepared to implement WV Afghanistan Humanitarian and Emergency Affairs plan under the context of (AHF-Nutrition 2nd 2021) interventions.
Job Requirement
Required Education, Experience, training, license, registration, and certification:
- At least 2 years of experience in the BPHS supported health facilities.
- Nurse, midwifes, Medical Assistant, or its equivalent
- Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto, both written and spoken
- Knowledge of MS Office and statistical programs
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong skills in oral and written Dari.
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications:
- MD doctor preferred.
- Excellent English speaking and writing skills,
- Demonstrable experience in child protection, child rights
- Strong monitoring skills
- Interpersonal, management and conflict resolution skills.
- Communication skills and knowledge of local communities.
- Understanding of Child Protection issues.
- Understanding of Gender issues
